Southwestern Advantage Hosts Recruiting Seminar in Daytona Beach, Florida
Preceded by a two-day Sales Leader Development seminar, the annual Kickoff Meeting is a three-day summit in Daytona Beach, Florida. Hosting nearly 170 young and experienced leaders the meeting consisted of training, speakers, and presentations to help the college students begin teambuilding for the 2024 sales season. This year’s Recruiting Kickoff Meeting emphasized the action steps behind perfect effort, perfect planning, and perfect execution in recruiting.
Students checked into the oceanfront resort Thursday afternoon and began training that evening. Friday and Saturday began with a general session and then young and experienced leaders were trained separately. In the afternoon, the students met with their director groups to receive specialized training. Both nights Southwestern Advantage hosted dinner at two notable waterfront restaurants. While dining students were encouraged to network and bond with their team members.
Training Material from How to Win Friends & Influence People Makes an Impact
Southwestern Advantage employees were gifted the reading material of How to Win Friends & Influence People, with several of the District Sales Leaders touching on the relevant topics they read during the general sessions. With over 24 speakers presenting on various topics, such as goal setting and developing a vision for the year, financial intelligence, and leadership, students learned valuable lessons to help them reach their recruiting goals for the upcoming school year.
Southwestern Advantage Alumni, Bill Merriam, Concludes the Training Seminar with a Bang
The weekend ended with a presentation from a distinguished Southwestern Advantage Alumni, Bill Merriam, who is the Managing Director and Wealth Management Advisor at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management. Merriam has won Forbes “Best-in-State Wealth Advisors” for five consecutive years as well as Barron’s “America’s Top 1200 Financial Advisors State-by-State.” The alumni shared his experience with Southwestern Advantage and how the company helped him reach his goals in life.
With students absorbing over 18 hours’ worth of training and teambuilding, the attendees left the summit excited to begin their recruiting season and utilize their newfound tools.
