From national recognition to student achievements across the country, this year’s honors highlight the impact and excellence of the Southwestern Advantage Sales & Leadership Program.
Education Insider Names Southwestern Advantage the Top College Student Sales & Leadership Program of 2025
This year’s award season carried special significance as Education Insider Magazine named Southwestern Advantage the Top College Student Sales and Leadership Program of 2025.
In its announcement, the publication emphasized the strong trust the program has built with families, students, and industry peers—something reflected in what Education Insider described as “numerous nominations” submitted by its subscribers. The award followed a detailed review by a panel of C-suite leaders, industry experts, and the publication’s editorial board.
The magazine’s feature story explored the heart of the program’s impact, describing Southwestern Advantage as more than a seasonal opportunity. Education Insider wrote that the experience “transforms a summer program into a launching pad for real-world entrepreneurship, personal development, and authentic leadership.” The piece highlighted how running a student-operated business develops essential life and career skills such as communication, discipline, resilience, and problem-solving—skills they carry into future careers.
President Dave Causer explained that this hands-on approach gives students “a full immersion into the mindset of an entrepreneur,” helping them build hard-earned soft skills and confidence. He also shared the company’s gratitude for the recognition, saying the team is honored to see their work with young people acknowledged on a national platform.

Award Banquets Celebrate Student Success from Coast to Coast
Following the national recognition, Southwestern Advantage organizations gathered throughout September and October for award banquets held in Waco, Texas; Nashville, Tennessee; Orlando, Florida; and San Diego, California.
These celebrations brought together student reps, leaders, alumni, and supporters to honor the commitment and character displayed throughout the summer. Across all organizations, students were recognized for leadership, service to families, sales achievements, growth milestones, team-building, academic product expertise, and community impact.
With more than 18 company-wide awards available—alongside additional recognitions presented within individual organizations—the banquets acknowledged excellence at every stage of the Southwestern Advantage journey:
- First-year achievements and rookie honors
- Top producers and sales leaders
- Student managers, recruiters, and team builders
- Organizational leaders and milestone achievers
- Character-, commitment-, and service-based awards

Each banquet highlighted the stories and accomplishments behind the achievements—the late nights, early mornings, challenges overcome, families served, teams built, and personal breakthroughs that shape a Southwestern Advantage summer. Leaders across the company emphasized how these experiences prepare students for future opportunities in school, careers, and life.
