How Stoyan Combined Business and Making an Environmental Impact

Stoyan Ivanov is an eight-summer bookman from Pavlikeny, Bulgaria. Every year, Stoyan plants a tree in Bulgaria for each customer he sold to during the summer. He has planted 3,105 trees so far, 378 just from customers in 2022.

Stoyan began planting trees on his 20th birthday because he knew the importance of nature and wanted a way to give back to the Earth. He is inspired to make a positive impact on the world and loves that with each tree he plants, the family it represents will stay on the Earth, even long after we die.

“A lot of people talk about making a difference in the world, but you make it.”

In the beginning of tree-planting, Stoyan’s friends and family thought he was crazy to spend money and resources on planting trees. His mother, however, supported him from the beginning. Now, everyone is very proud of his efforts and his customers love it. When Stoyan planted his three thousandth tree, one of his best friends, Daniel Stoykov, said, “A lot of people talk about making a difference in the world, but you make it.”
